Concept Evolution
The ever-changing environment consists of “reflection pools” that showcase multiple products together from the Merz portfolio as a “Solution for the Complete Patient”. Each interactive pool tells the story of a particular patient case study and the products that worked for that patient. Projection and digital video dynamically changes the look and feel of the environment from moment to moment or day to day and fully immerses the attendee. Mirrors add to the theme of “reflection” throughout the space to add dimension. Hidden monitors inside mirrored blades in the reflection pools surprise the attendee as they walk up and interact with the touchscreens to learn about the patient’s story.
As the concept evolves there are more details to define each of the product segments into a modular kiosk that is scalable to smaller exhibit sizes.

RFP Design
30’ x 30’
The client wanted to update and refresh their trade show exhibit to have a more high-end retail and sophisticated hospitality feel. I took cues from their logo icon and explored a repetition of linear patterns slightly space horizontally and angled vertically to add architectural interest. Lighting was a big part of creating that hospitality feel so the customer could have a more intimate experience on the crowed trade show floor.

The challenge was to develop a memorable experience that demonstrates AstraZeneca’s scientific leadership and communicates the scientific pillars. An overall sleek and modern design was key to create excitement and awareness around the emerging gout science. Strategic uses of lighting, hospitality and a large canopy creates an intimate and inviting space. As the attendee enters the booth, there are many interactive elements like augmented reality, touchscreens and a large scale video wall to educate the attendee about gout “in a new light”. Sharp and angular design elements represent the sharp crystals that form in gout.
80’ x 80’ Exhibit
I designed a timeless and architectural solution that both differentiates and exemplifies PREIT’s position as an industry founder and current innovator. The concept was to provide an open and inviting entry and interior space for leasing reps and customers to conduct business meetings along with a fancy cafe to serve drinks. Technology was utilized and in a practical and effective way to be used as a sales tool while also demonstrating PREIT’s innovation. I used the corner entry of the exhibit as a beacon for the brand from across the show hall. The overall design has an upscale hospitality feel.

Theme: Thales Takes Flight with TrUE AI
This concept effectively illustrates the history of innovation that drives Thales while placing a focus on its future with the Thales artificial intelligence approach of “TrUE AI”. The Thales TrUE AI approach is Transparent, Understandable and Ethical.
Through the use of open slats, vertical columns and LED lighting we wanted to embrace the strength and transparency that Thales TrUE AI messaging presents along with the interconnectivity that weaves throughout their products.
Guests are welcomed into a large Thales “A” out of the clutter from the show floor and into an intimate and immersive environment that creates intrigue and inspires visitors to follow the clear journey to interact with the Thales brand.
A giant paper airplane soaring above them hints at the TrUE AIr experience that awaits them towards the end of their journey.
Designed several schematics with a loose sketch style for an Uptycs exhibit RFP. Showing a variation of styles and activations within the booth to emphasize the Uptycs brand and create a buzz on the floor.
40’ x 50’ Exhibit
Sweet Street wanted an exhibit that felt more like a cafe with a rustic and warm ambiance. This design communicates the Sweet Street brand as a restauranteur that is merging savory with sweets. Along with sampling counters, it has an indoor and outdoor feel to it like you might see at a food hall or cafe. There is an intuitive flow to navigate throughout the space. From a distance the large hanging sign is displayed to promote their brand and showcase beauty shots of their food. This signage ties the entire space together and uses warm and rustic material accents with targeted lighting to add warmth.
GSK Consumer Healthcare
GSK needed a scalable exhibit design from a 60’ x 20’ island to a 10’ x 10’ inline to serve their dental and medical trade shows. The structure is very lightweight using mostly fabric with metal frames to define the space and use as the canvas for the GSK branding. Dynamic projection was used on the outside wall showing bubbles rising up. As the attendee enters the welcome area it is an easy journey through the space.
50’ x 50’ exhibit
This was a concept developed for Samsung Business. Some of the key attributes were to create a welcoming environment that draws attendees in. Design a memorable experience that educates and excites attendees about the Samsung Business suite of products. Provide a learning space to best display the solutions and partners while providing an intuitive flow throughout the space. Finally to depict a show and tell mindset that relays the power and potential of the Samsung Business products and services.
30’ x 40’
The client wanted a clean and modern booth space that could change from year to year to reflect their new branding. I took it a step further and created a retail store inspired design to showcase the client’s instore print services where the booth theme changed each of the three days at the show. The space took cues from a retail store concept with front and side store front windows allowed for many types of graphics to displayed. This year I proposed “Change with the Seasons”, but years following could be even more complex storytelling and windows displays with different graphics.

Created a modular branded environment for Cerner that engages the attendee into an RFID powered smart room matrix. The story told is reflective of Cerner’s patient and customer experience. The concept shows the importance of integration and connectivity between patient and clinician as part of Cerner’s solutions. An overall clean look and soft curves mimic the brand and design elements are flexible to work in multiple size spaces.

Design concept to position MaxLite as a leader in the indoor and outdoor lighting fixtures industry. MaxLite wanted to unveil a new contemporary look and bring to life their new tagline “ A New Wave of Light”. The design provided an open and fluid environment that has a branded shell on the outside and open and immersive inside.
Samsung wanted to consolidate all of their products into one coherent Smart Home story. I designed a full-scale Smart Home demo space that narrates a day in the life of a Smart Home user in a fully functioning home setting.
The Dolby Laboratories, Inc. in San Francisco, CA was looking for a refresh design of their dated entry and display showcase. They also wanted a dynamic Dolby experience that was interactive right when you enter the front door. The building has a lot of historical character that they wanted to keep and integrate the new updated design elements so it had a simple and timeless feel.
